He earned his B.F.A. in Film/Video from Pratt Institute and later completed his M.F.A. in Film Production (Editing Emphasis) at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.
His work spans narrative, commercial, documentary, and digital content. He views editing as both a means of storytelling and a process of discovering new possibilities within the material. With a flexible approach to every project, he brings a strong attention to detail, an openness to experimentation, and a commitment to supporting the director’s vision.
Before focusing on editing, Shengfang worked as a director and screenwriter. His films have been selected for multiple film festivals, earning awards including the Grand Jury Award and Best Student Film. His work has also been screened at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Producers Club Theater.
